Our faith is secure in God’s lasting work of Redemption

By Ps. Joseph
13 Aug 2017

Our salvation is guaranteed through:

1. The blood of Jesus
1 Pet 1:18-19 18  knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19  but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
Hebrews 9:12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

2. The everlasting covenant
Hebrews 13:20-21 20  Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21  make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

3. Christ’s continuing work as our High Priest
Hebrews 7:21, 25 21  (for they have become priests without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him: "The LORD has sworn And will not relent, "You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek"), 25  Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

4. The earnest of redemption, the indwelling Holy Spirit
Eph 1:13-14 13  In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14  who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

5. The unchanging decree or word of the Lord
1 Pet 1:23,25 23  having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, 25  But the word of the LORD endures forever." Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

6. Our position of being hid in Christ
Col 3:3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
1 Cor 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

7. God’s enduring love freely shown to us in Christ
Rom 8:38-39 28  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29  For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

God's Divine Call & Process

By Ps. Joseph
13 Aug 2017

A person receives a divine call from God usually by Revelation, knowledge, a vision, a dream, a deep conviction or a personal prophecy from a prophet or prophetic presbytery.

God sovereignly reveals what we are called to be.

We must always remember that God is the One who gives a divine calling. He initiates it (not us).

1 Cor 12:18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.
1 Cor 12:28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.

Ephesians 4:7-11
7  But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.
8  Therefore He says: "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men."
9  (Now this, "He ascended"--what does it mean but that He also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?
10  He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)
11  And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,

The Power Of Forgiveness

By Ps. Joseph
23 Jul 2017

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.
But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Mark 11:25-26
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9

Forgiveness only comes through the cross. Only the finished work of Jesus can bring total forgiveness. Jesus' blood is the only "detergent" for our sins. Without the blood of Jesus, you can only have tolerance and not forgiveness.
Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me.
Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.
So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.
Matthew 18:32-35

We owe an unpayable debt to God. Even if we worked our whole lifetime, we can never pay the great debt that we owe to God. However, through the finished work of Jesus Christ, our debt has been cleared and forgiven. In the same way, we must forgive our brother who offends us. If we don't forgive but harbor the offense, we go into a "prison" where demons torture our mind. But when we forgive, we are delivered from our "prison".
Myths about forgiveness:
1. "I need to understand in order to forgive"
- The reality is, no one can understand the intentions of the offender. We can never understand why someone hurt us (because it is of a spiritual nature - the mystery of iniquity), but we must choose to forgive.
2. "I need to overlook a person's fault in order to forgive"
- We can't just say "never mind" when a person asks us for forgiveness, for that just brings the person into condemnation, we need to forgive.
3. "I need to forget in order to forgive"
- The truth of the matter is that we never forget. Our memories are stored in our brain, we cannot forget.
There are 2 types of memories:
     a) Emotional memory - whenever we think of the memory, of the offense, the pain and hurt comes up again.
     b) Historical memory - when the past offense is brought up again, we remember the events but we no longer feel the hurt and pain.
- God wants us to move from emotional memory to historical memory, and time is not the thing that can do it. This movement from emotional to historical memory can only be done through the forgiveness.
The secret to youthfulness: forgive people whether I understand or not. Do not hold a grudge. Willfully CHOOSE to forgive. People who don't forgive don't live very long, and they have a lot of health issues. But as we forgive, God's protection power comes over us. When we forgive, we live long and healthy lives, fulfilling the destiny that God has for us.
Practical steps to release forgiveness:
1. Face the wrong
2. Face the hurt
3. Face the resentment
4. Face the cross - when we bring it to the cross, we will experience change and turn around.
Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”
Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.
Matthew 18:21-22

Jesus Himself said that offenses will come, and will continue to come right up until the day He comes again, but a sign of a Christian's maturity is his ability to maintain relationships - to forgive offenses.
As we continue to grow and mature, certain offenses will no longer have any effect on us.
1 John 1:9, His blood cleanses us from all sin. When He cleanses us, He puts life and joy into us.
Today, make a conscious decision - "I WILL FORGIVE".

How To Break Generational Curses

By Ps. Joseph
16 Jul 2017

How To Break Generational Curses:

1. Trace the Symptoms to the Roots. If you have tried everything, like prayer and fasting etc…, then it is obvious that a generational curse is in operation

2. Practice Identificational Repentance (Isa 6:5). Identify through prayer all the sins of your forefathers (Dt 27:15-26). Repent for sins committed.

3. Apply the Blood of Jesus (1 Jn 1:9). Apply the Blood of Jesus through five generations to shut spiritual doors.

4. Command Familiar Spirits to leave with a Voice of Authority (Lk 10:19)

5. Claim the Blessing from the Abrahamic Covenant.

Galations 3: 13-14
“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written:
'Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree'
He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus."

You Are Not Orphans!

By Ps. Joseph
02 Jul 2017

John 14:16-18
16  "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever--
17  "the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
18  I will not leave you orphans – comfortless, desolate, bereaved, helpless. I will come (back) to you

We are not orphans, we are not alone. We are children of God.

Two Worlds

By Ps. Joseph
25 Jun 2017

We live in two worlds:

1. The natural world - where life decays and declines.

2. The supernatural world - where we never die. We have eternal life.

Open Doors Of Opportunity

By Ps. Joseph
07 May 2017

He sets before us doors of opportunity.

These doors may be hidden behind crises, obstacles, disappointments or a host of other difficulties, but they ARE DOORS OPENED by God

Rev 3:7-8
"And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, "These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens':
"I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.

They may try to close the doors of Divine opportunity but the will NOT SUCCEED.

When your work and your motivation are acceptable to the Lord, you can expect to receive His help – and no earthly power can stand against the Lord God Almighty.

Hosea 2:15
15  I will give her her vineyards from there, And the Valley of Achor as a door of hope; She shall sing there, As in the days of her youth, As in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt.

Human weakness is God’s open door to show His mighty hand.

Our limitations are the basis for divine possibilities.

2 Cor 12:10
Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Tim 1:7
7  For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Intercessory Prayer

By Ps. Joseph
26 Mar 2017

The prayer-intercession church understands the principle of PUSHING BACK the devil’s boundary lines.

The Holy Spirit has hedged us in according to God’s divinely set boundary lines.

The devil also seeks to set boundary lines, but his boundary lines are always set to limit God’s best, to bind us, to pull us back and to remove from us a spirit of faith and vision.
God has – metaphorically speaking – given us a 5,000 acre farm to live on and enjoy.
The devil works on shrinking those boundary lines down to one acre.

Intercessory PRAYER pushes the line back to where God intended them to be (Psalm 139:5; Proverbs 18:16; Jeremiah 29:1).

Prophetic Words

By Ps. Joseph
15 Jan 2017

A Heart To Pursue
  • You will never possess what you are unwilling to pursue
  • It's our heart attitude
  • Anything born of God will be tested
  • People want to see the real Christian

  •  This is a Kairos time for our church.
  • Competent leadership.
  • Governmental territorial influence.
  • The key is the presence of God.

Prophetic Word

By Ps. Joseph
18 Dec 2016

  1. For the believer seeking to please the Lord – nothing is accidental but all is providential
  2. God uses people, places and events to direct our steps. “The steps of a good man (or woman) are ordered by the Lord and He delights in his way.” (Ps 37:23)
  3. The truth of Abraham’s servant Eliezer, when he said “I being in the way, the Lord led me…” (Gen 24:27) oftentimes we are not conscious of the Lord leading us, but as long as we are in the way – His way – He does lead us. We see this more often in hindsight than in foresight.
